Located in a privileged sport in Barcelona a step away from the famous Sagrada Familia and 10 minutes from the city centre thanks to its excellent public transport connections. Both the metro, just two minutes away and the bus with a stop at the hotel entrance, are two excellent options for moving around the marvellous city of Barcelona.

Just beside the Best Western Hotel Medicis you will find another of the most emblematic modernist buildings of Barcelona, the Hospital de Sant Pau, designed by the architect Domènech i Montaner. You can stroll along the Avenida de Gaudí which will take you to the world famous Sagrada Familia. Along this pretty street you will find bars and restaurants for having a coffee or enjoying a meal, while you contemplate the beauty of this huge monument of Barcelona.

How arrive by car

From the north: If you are travelling on the Ronda Litoral come off at Plaza de la Glorias and turn right into Calle Padilla, turn right at Travesera de Gracia and finally turn right into Calle Castillejos.

From the south: If you are coming from the Plaza Francesc Macià, turn left into Calle Valencia and then turn left into Calle Padilla. Turn right at Travessera de Gràcia and finally turn right into Calle Castillejos.

From the airport: Go in the direction of Diagonal until you get to the Plaza Francesc Macià, turn left into Calle Valencia and then turn left into Calle Padilla. Turn right at Travessera de Gràcia and finally turn right into Calle Castillejos.

How to arrive from airport

Train: It leaves every 30 minutes (8 and 38 minutes past the hour), and takes around 20 minutes to the Estación de Sants. At Sants take the metro (L5) towards Horta and get off at Hospital Sant Pau (exit Calle Cartagena), the metro takes 10 minutes. The train ticket will cost approximately €2.80 and a one-journey metro ticket costs €1.35.

Taxi: Easily taken at the airport. The approximate cost is €20-25. It takes 20-30 minutes.

Metro: Hospital Sant Pau: Line 5. Exit: Calle Cartagena. It is just 2 minutes from the hotel and will take you to the very centre of Barcelona in just three stops (Diagonal station).
